Loans

An open book

Registered users can borrow 8 books at a time.  Loan periods vary from 1 week to 4 weeks.  However, provided there are no reservations on a book we can renew it.  Books not held by the library may be obtained from elsewhere as inter-library loans.

Renewals and Reservations

 To renew and reserve books you can still contact us| , or you can manage your own library account and login with your reader code/ID and pin number at http://northcumbrialibraries.cirqahosting.com/|

For mobile or tablet users you can also keep an eye on your library account by downloading the Library ‘MyCirqa’ App.

To get started with the app follow these 3 easy steps:

1.     Visit your app store download and run the ‘MyCirqa’ App on your mobile phone or tablet. 

2.     Search for your library’s name in the list (North Cumbria Library & Knowledge Services).

3.     Login with your usual library details (reader code/ID and pin number) and you’re done.

Returns

Books can be returned to either of the libraries at the Cumberland Infirmary or West Cumberland Hospital.  Books can be sent out and returned via NHS internal mail van service (Please note: in the event of a book getting lost in transit, it is still the borrowers responsibility to reimburse the total cost of replacement).
